Ms. Alvarado is a cellular and molecular biologist. She received a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology and an M.S. in Biology with a focus on genetic and epigenetic regulation of gene expression from California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

In 2020 she completed advanced stem science cell training through The CIRM Bridges to Stem Cell Research Awards program at CSUN-UCLA.
